Creating Engaging Video Scripts and Storyboards with Change Agent

Guidance on producing compelling video content, including scripts and storyboards.

📋 STEP BY STEP

Here’s how you can use Change Agent to create engaging video scripts and storyboards.

Step 1: Define Your Video Concept

Determine the purpose of your video, including its message, target audience, and desired outcome. Consider what values and themes you want to convey, as well as any specific policy proposals or issues you wish to highlight.

Step 2: Upload Relevant Text to Change Agent

Upload relevant text, such as a speech, article, or interview transcript, that relates to your video concept. This will help Change Agent identify key themes, values, and messages to incorporate into your script.

  • To upload the information as a file
    • Click the “+” symbol to the left of the prompt window
    • Choose your file
  •  To load the information from a webpage
    • Copy the entire URL (NOTE: if the URL is for a Google Doc or other cloud service, make sure that sharing is set to “Anybody with the link”)
    • Type “#” into the Change Agent prompt window and paste your URL immediately after the “#”
    • Click on the gray dialog window that says #[URL] to load the information

Step 3: Prompt Change Agent to Draft Your Script

Ask Change Agent to generate a script based on your uploaded text. Provide context about the video, such as its purpose, target audience, and desired tone.

Example prompt: “Generate a script for a 2-minute video about [TOPIC] that highlights the importance of [VALUE] and emphasizes [KEY MESSAGE].”

Step 4: Review & Revise

Review the generated script and ask follow-up prompts to refine it. You can request changes to the tone, emphasis, or specific sections.

Example prompt: “Rewrite the script to include a personal anecdote that illustrates the impact of [ISSUE] on [COMMUNITY].”

Step 5: Create a Storyboard

Use Change Agent to generate a storyboard based on your revised script. Provide guidance on visual elements, such as images, graphics, or footage.

Example prompt: “Create a storyboard for the script I provided earlier, incorporating visuals that highlight the contrast between [CURRENT SITUATION] and [DESIRED OUTCOME].”

Step 6: Finalize & Customize

Refine your script and storyboard based on feedback from stakeholders or testing. Use Change Agent to make final adjustments and customize the video content for specific audiences.

Example prompt: “Customize the script and storyboard for a presentation to [SPECIFIC AUDIENCE], emphasizing [KEY MESSAGE] and highlighting [RELEVANT EXAMPLE].”
