Using Change Agent for Rapid Response Messaging

Here’s how you can use Change Agent to develop rapid response messaging and respond to breaking news or crises.
Step 1: Gather Information on the Crisis or Breaking News
Collect relevant information about the crisis or breaking news, including key facts, quotes from stakeholders, and any existing statements from your organization or candidate.

symbol to the left of the prompt window - Choose your file

- Copy the entire URL (NOTE: if the URL is for a Google Doc or other cloud service, make sure that sharing is set to “Anybody with the link”)
- Type

- Click on the gray dialog window that says

to load the information
Step 2: Prompt Change Agent to Analyze the Crisis or Breaking News
Ask Change Agent to analyze the crisis or breaking news, identifying key themes, values, and policy proposals relevant to the situation. Use a prompt such as “Analyze the recent [CRISIS/BREAKING NEWS EVENT] and identify key themes and values.”
Step 3: Generate Messaging Options
Use Change Agent to generate multiple messaging options that address the crisis or breaking news. Ask follow-up prompts such as “Generate three different responses to the [CRISIS/BREAKING NEWS EVENT], each highlighting a unique aspect of our organization's/candidate's stance.”
Regenerate answers at least five times to explore different approaches.
Step 4: Review and Refine Messaging Options
Review the generated messaging options, selecting those that best align with your organization’s or candidate’s values and policy proposals. Ask follow-up prompts such as “Rewrite this response to emphasize [KEY THEME/VALUE]”
to refine the messaging.
Step 5: Finalize and Deploy Rapid Response Messaging
Once you have a solid draft, review it with relevant stakeholders and make any necessary revisions. Use Change Agent to customize the messaging for different audiences or channels by asking prompts such as “Rewrite this response for social media”
or “Customize this statement for a press conference.”
