Authentication

No API key required. The Civic Intelligence API is currently available without authentication for authorized integrations.

Rate Limits

Reasonable use. No hard rate limits enforced at the API layer. Underlying data sources have their own quotas (SAM.gov: 1K req/day; Open States: 500 req/day).

Data Freshness

SAM.gov opportunities sync daily. Grants, awards, and legislators sync weekly. Census profiles sync monthly. Bills, nonprofits, and civic lookups are cached on demand. Foundation data from IRS 990-PF filings lags 9-18 months.
